MUSIC AT THE MAYOR'S RECEPTION.
It has been decided that there i.s to be no concert at the Mayor's receotion on tbe Wednesday evening, but. that, two string bands will play during the evening. One will be stationed on the gallery of the Library, and the othec .somewhere in the Art Gallery. The selection of these bands has been left to the Musical Committee. The services of the Newton Band and the Newton Salvation Army Band have been accepted by the Musical Committee for the celebrations.
