ORIGIN OF THE FIRE.
As to the origin of the fire it seems that each bathroom is fitted up with heaters, and it is thought probable that some inmate took a warm bath and neglected to turn off the heater, which may in some way have fired the woodwork in the upper storey. This is, however, purely a matter of conjecture, as when discovered first the flames had then made too much headway for any one to ascertain how they originated.
