The- annual meeting of the Auckland Presbyterian Elders' Association was held in St. David's Church on Monday evening-, Mr R. B. Heriot presiding1. The report for the past year showed that the attendance at the meetings averaged rather . hig-her than that of former sessions. The balance of cash in hand was voted as usual to the Presbyterian City Mission. In addition to a strong committee the following were elected office-bearers for the current year: President, Mr D. Macpherson; vicepresidents, Mr Heriot and Mr Crawford; secretary and treasurer, Mr T. Knight. Diiring the evening several | items of music were rendered by St. ! David's choir, while Revs. H. B. Gray and W. Uray Dixon delivered with much acceptance addresses pertaining to the important office of the elder. The Rev. Father Hennessy died at the Thames Hospital last' Tuesday. He had been for many years au invalid and came to this country some time ago for the benefit of his health. The interment took place yesterday in the Onehunga Cemetery. The funeral service was read by Monsignor O'Reilly. The other clergy present -were Monsignor Panl, Fathers Patterson and Egan, of Coromajidel, Fathers Moore and Buckley^ J3jt. Patrick I*. _^
