FOOTBALL.
ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL,
Mr. T. Southall, secretary of the Auckland Football Association, has arranged for two matches to be played on the Domain on Saturday, one between a team from H.M.S.' Torch and a representative Auckland eleven, and one between a combined team from' H.M.S's. Archer and Sparrow and an Auckland second eleven. Afternoon tea will be dispensed during the afternoon in the pavilion, and a collection will be, made in aid of the Auckland Football Association. The team from H.M.S. Torch has a good reputation, and an interesting1 game should result, and as an Auckland representative eleven will most probably go down to Otago this season to play the. holders of the interprovincial challenge shield, the match should afford a good indication of what our players can do.
