WAITEKAURI.
Waitekauri now possesses a real live brass band, thanks to the energy of Mr George Gill and a few others. Mr Gill was appointed bandmaster, and the members have been practising /assiduously for several weeks past, and'intend appearing in public next week.
The excavations for the new Wesleyan Church are well under way, and a commencement will shortly be made with the erection of. the'building, which will be ft handsome structure, costing about £3000. It is to be built on a commanding position in the centre of the town.
