PARNELL.
The ordinary meeting of the Parnell Borough Council was hold last evening-, the Mayor (Mr Hugh Campbell) presiding. An amount of correspondence was dealt with. On the recommendation of the Streets Committee it was .resolved to authorise sundry improvements to the roads and footpaths in Balfour-street, Stratfordstreet, Searboro' Terrace, and Manukau Road. It was decided that the foreman oi works should be allowed two extra men for a month after the Hobson Bay Rflad has been finished, In order to proceed -with various necessary street works. It was resolved to hold a special meeting next Monday evening to consider the valuation list.
