THE INDIAN TROOPS

CHRISTCHUKCH, Thursday.
The DaThousie, with the Indian troops, only arrived at ten minutes past eight p.m., and the men.were at once disembarked and left by special train lor Invercargill at ten o'clock. They are expected to arrive at Invercargill at noon " to-morrow, and leave again at half-past one p.m. for "Dunedin, where they will spend Saturday aud Sunday, and leave for. Christchurch by special train on Monday morning, spending Tuesday here. 'They will parade in the morning-, and will attend a polo match in the afternoon. The Hon. C. 11. Mills is travelling-, with the troop;?, and is trying to arrange for some extension of the time at Invercargill.
