POULTRY ASSOCIATION.

NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday.
A conference of the North Island Poultry Association was held to-day. Delegates were present from Auckland, Masterton, Thames, Wellington, and New Plymouth. "lac object was the formation of.a not'theru Jissociar tion, including Marlborough, Nelson, and the West Coast of tiie South Island. It was resolved, .after much discussion, and after several motions had been rejected, that overtures be made to the South Island Association to include Marlborough, Nelson, Buller, and Westland s6eieties in the. Northern Association. The headquarters for the current term were fixed at NeAV Plymouth. Mr F. Goodacre was elected president, and Messrs C. Gray (Auckland), r_ b, jj r i s tow (Welling-ton), vice-presidents. Eules were drawn up and adopted.
