GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD.

The Grammar School Board met yesterday afternoon, Sir G. M. O'Korke in the chair. Boardins School.-The Chairman stated that two additional offers of property for a boarding school had been received. One was "Rockliinds," Epsom, which contained some 10 :acres; and the other was a property of three acres near the Domain. The price of both was £4000. A committee was appointed to inspect "Roeklands," it being thought that the other property wns too small for the purpose.

Resignation.—Mr Theo. Cooper wrote resigning his seat as a member of the Board, consequent upon his promotion to the Supreme Court Bench.—The Chairman moved that the Board record their appreciation of Mr Cooper's valuable services us a member of the Board, and congratulate him on his promotion.—ln seconding the motion, Mr Luke paid a high tribute to Mr Cooper's services as a member of the Board. •

Miscellaneous.—The plans of a house prepared by Mr Percy Ward to be erected on an allotment of the Board's at Devouport were npproved. It was decided to grant the usual £5 to the school swimming sports. The Chairman, Professor Brown, aurt the Headmaster were appointed a committee to deal with the applications for the losition of master of modern languages, returnable on the Bth inst.
