OLD CHUMS' ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Old Chums and Schoolfellows' Association was held at the Anchor Hotel, Queen-street, on Wednesday evening. Mr C. D. Grey, president, in the chair. The report of the committee showed that the Association had had a very successful year. The reunions were undoubted successes, and the . social, in which their lady friends joineij, gave so much pleasure that the Associa-_ tion intends making it a part of their, programme during the ensuing year. The Association had not forgotten another object they have in view, viz., to assist and relieve any member in need, also to condole with 'the afflicted. During the past year their members had increased by more than twice as man,y as they haa during the previous year. NotwithstaniJ- . ing the additional expense of the social, * they were able to show a credit balance after paying all liabilities, of £28 Odd. After the committee's report was read, and the balance sheet adopted, the meeting proceeded to elect officers for the ensuing year. With a slight addition of .new blood most of the last year's.officers were re-elected.. The meeting was then closed, after a hearty vote o fthanks been car-.; ried, with cheers, for Mr C. D. Grey, president and chairman. A vote «* »anl£ was also accorded to Mr A. J, Gteey, P«* the gratuitous use of the room for the Association's meetings.
