«. The net Customs duties for th? month of February constitute a record for the colony. The amount i received was £54,377 10/10, the highest total previously reached, £53,000, ueirr recorded in August 1890. In Feljpary of Jast year the duty totalled £38.464 3/9, giving an increase for this year of. £15,919, The beer duty was £1400, a falling- off of £135 compared with last year. The gold exports were 15,7240z5, valued at £57,437, an increase from 11,4560z5. valued at £40.691. Silver exports amounted to 43,8100z5, valued at £5227, against 29,5'JHozs, valued at £3459. The produce exports were:— Frozen beef, 3257cwts, value £8800, an increase of £119; lamb, C93cwts, value £1045, increase £351; mutton, laOOcwts, value £1750, increase £1540; butter,■•.42Bßcwts, value £17,----039, increase £3058; cheese, 113cwts, value £422, increase £35.
