THAMES, this day. / This morning the Minister of Land* and Minister of Mines visited the Thames School of Mines, after which they were escorted through the machine house of the Thames-Hauraki Compeny by the manager, Mr T. A. Dunlop. Hero the Mayor, Mr F. Trembath, the Town Clerk, and Mr Albert Bruce, met the Ministerial party and droe them to the Waiotahi mine, where they were taken down below by the manager, Mr James Smith. After . examination of underground workings the visitors were driven to the Big Pump, returning thence to the Royal Hotel. Mr Duncan leaves for Auckland by the Wakatere at one b'clomk . this afternoon. Mr McGowan remains » at the Thames till to-morrow-
