MINERS' WAGES.

A special meeting of the members of the Waihi Ilrai'ig ot the Thames Miner.*' Union will be, held in the Miners' Union Hall, Waihi, on Saturday. March 9th. at nine p.m. to take a ballot of members re the citation of companies before the Conciliation Board. A meeting of the same branch will be held at S p.m. to decide if the mining companies shall be cited before the Conciliation Board.

With regard to the circular issued to various companies carrying on operations in the Waihi district, we. are asked to state that already the men in the Waihi mine are being paid sixpence per day more than those working at Thames, and that, now a further rise of one shilling per day is requested. The Waihi Company deny that the men whose services were dispensed with were discharged because they were officers ol: the Union.
