Nielsen) arrived at Tauranga iasfc, week from the South, Mr Ayson, Chief Inspector of Fisheries, being.onboard. The Doto has been chartered by the, Government from the Nelson. Fishing Company, with the object off testing the waters in the neighbour-* hood of the principal centres of pOpt_lation on the coast of the Northl Island^ for trawling purposes The. Doto, which was bought,specially jn Sydney, by her master for trawling work, is,a' 20-tonner (net), fitted with a 1,6 h.p. engine, carries a crew of four, sand is splendidly adapted fbr the work. Her master and part-owner, Captain Neil-i sen, is a thorough trawling expert. The steamer was to remain in the locality for a few days to test the groundsill '•the neighbourhood of Tauranga, Heads. When the work of inspection is concluded there the Doto resumes; her journey up the coast via Auckland, and as soon as operations are finished on this side of the island, work will' be commenced on the.western side. ..
