The 20th of February was a red-lettert day here on account of the Agricultural Horticultural and Local Industres Show being- held at Mangawal There was a fairly good show of fruit, local industries, and horses (over 270 exhibits), and about 400 people were present. The fruit was ahead of that shown in 1562, also the horses, but the general produce far behind that shown in the early days. Tho committee worked well, the secretary deserving special mention. Mr James Drake occupied the chair in the evening, when a concert was held, and all expressed themselves pleased with the show.
