Gordon v. Wanderers.—The latter won the toss, and, on Gordon going in, dismissed them for 57. Kissling (24) and Fish (10) wore the only double figure scorers. Wanderers replied with 73 (R. Layer 27, and Wakerly 23). Gordon knocked off the deficit and were 15 runs to the good at the call of time for the loss of a wicket. Auckland v. Avon-dale.—Auckland, going in first, could only put on ?S, \he bowling of A. Bollard and J. Archibald being very difficult. Avondale, however, did a good deal worse, the last wicket falling with the total at 12. Airey and Ir.ul were deadly, the former taking o for 5, and the latter 3 for 7.
