RECEPTION OF THE TROOPS.
(TjO the Editor.)
Sir,—Your correspondent, Fred H. Wilson, is mean. He should know perfectly well that ministers of the Gospel have but small salaries and an abundance of calls on them. They simply cannot donate princely sums t,o everything they are associated with. As regards the others, most of them give in very many directions. The man who gives to few things can of course give more largely.—l am, etc., JAS. MARSHALL.
