FATALITIES AT SEA.
SYDNEY, January 27.
The barquentine Rio has arrived from Napier. Two fatalities occurred during- the passage. On the 15th inst. the mate, named Thompson, fell from the jibboom overboard, and though a search wastoade for him, it was unavailing. On the 19th a seaman named Arthur Royle fell from aloft, and struck the port lifeboat. His skull was fractured, one of his thighs broken, and his spine badly fractured. Ho died three days later.
