Sir John Forrest shortly returns to Sydney to take the Defence Portfolio, Mr. Drake ta.king the Post Office Department in the Federal Cabinet.

Mr Reid, who has returned from his southern campaign, is confident that free trade is secure for an immense vote at the federal electionsl.
