OHAUPO MARKETS.
Mr W. J. Hunter held his stock sale at Ohaupo on Tuesday. Over 500 head of stock were yarded, many of good quality; but prices ruled lower than at previous sales. Grown steers were in demand, but ou'y a few pens were offered. Only about 25 dairy cows were brought forward, and they were not of the first class. The following are the quotations:—Dairy cows, £2 5/ to £4 10/; aged bull, £8: young bulls, £2 8/ and £2; mixed calves, 32/ to 39/; 15 months steers, £2 IS/ to £3 1/G; three-vear-old steers, fresh condition, £6 10/; two-year-old steers, £3 10/ to £3 18/; three-year-old steers, £5 10/; 54 2J-year-old steers, very choice, £5 2/: empty 2_-year heifers, £3 3/0; store cows, £3 17/ to £4; fat rows, £1 0/ to £5 11/; sma.l fat steers. £7 10/.
