Drunkenness. —For this offence one first offender was discharged with a caution. For a fifth offence within six months William Inkster was sentenced to two months' hard labour. Peter Morgan was fined 10/ or 48 hours in default.

Ilemanded. —John Duffy, charged with having broken into the dwellinghouse of one George Oleson with intent to annoy, was remanded for a week on the application of the police. Mr. Reed appeared for the defence.

Juvenile Offenders. —John Gussy, a small boy of eight years, was charged with stealing one dozen pocket knives, one box of picture blocks, one work box and one metataphone, total value. 19/2, the property of Louisa. Bull. Accused was further charged with stealing one pocket knife, the property of the same, person. The first charge was dismissed, and on the second the, accused was remanded until the 23rd to enable his father to appear. Another boy, William Lowe, of still smaller dimensions, but of the same age, was charged with stealing a purse, the property of Louisa -Bull. His Worship discharged this diminutive offender with a caution*
