THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD

An election of members of the Thames Drainage Board took place this morning. The following result is declared by the Returning Officer, Mr. Lee: Henry Green, 31 votes; J. K. Gray, 31; Matthew Paul, 31; S. Hesketh, 20; J. M. Leunox, 16; S. C. Macky, 16; .Tames Park, 16; Graves Aickin, 15; G. S. Kissling, 15: M. A. Clark, 15. The first seven are declared duly elected.

The Borough Council and County Council elected Messrs. P. Trembath and T. A. Dunlop, respectively, as their representatives on the Board. The local members of the new Board unanimously favour immediately restarting pumping, and it is probable this will be done this afternoon.
