TRAGEDY In A TRAIN.
AN EXCITING CHASE
LONDON, January 18
Hill, an ex-soldier, shot and killed a man named Pearson, an elderly farmer, in a lavatory compartment on' the South-western train, near Surbiton. He then shot in the cheek a widow, the .only other passenger. Hill rifled Pearson's body and jumped when the train entered Yauxhali. The widow, who feigned death, gave the alarm and the murderer was arrested after an exciting- chase.
