WOOL SALES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
At. the third wool sale of the season, held to-day, 12,750 bales were catalogued. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was much brisker than at the previous sales, local factories bidding strongly for merinos and-.half-breds. In the former class there was an advance of three farthings and of a penny. Best half-breds were a half-penny, and medium description a farthing better. Crossbreds showed practically no alteration. During the forenoon top prices for merino and half-bred were BJd; fine crossbred, 7d; crossbred, Gd.
