THE NEW ZEALAND RIFLE TEAM.
WANGANUI; Monday
The Government has consented to pay the saloon passages of the rifle team to Sydney. The Commonwealth meeting takes "place in the first week in January. The team will consist of 12 men, and, when selected, the rifles made by. Dan Frazer, for the Bisley meeting, will be issued. Applications for places in tbe team are to be sent to Lieutenant-Colonel Sommerville, Wanganui,' by wire, as time is short. Members of the Council are asked to assist in g-etting- the team.
