HOOLIGANS IN PARIS.
MASKED RUFFIANS CREATE A REIGN
OF TERROR.
Paris at present is overrun by masked bands of ruffians who are the counterpart of the' Hoolis-U, who Is at present causing endless trouble lo the Loudon authorities. Midnight robberies with violence and housebreakings are the peculiar forte of this great company of ruffians, who make Paris dangerous to the pedestrian by night. Within the past few days the outburst of violence has assumed greater proportions. Un one day torn- shocking eases were reported in the "Daily Messenger." In the Rue de l-'huulres a man was knocked down with loaded, canes. In the Rue de Mean.. half an hour afterwards a shoemaker was attacked by a gang, ami stabbed in the side. Even women are not Immune. Maria Hornet, a. Washerwoman, was on her way home .when she was stabbed in the street. Her assailant was arrested, and he proved to be a well-known.member of the "dangerous" class. The .Ayeuue Clichy was the scene of a fourth outrage, a man was found there dead, his. throat cut. No trace of his murderers has b.een found, in addition to these outrages there have been many minor attacks on harmless persons.
