KAURI TIMBER RESERVE.
WELLINGTON, this day,
The Ohinemuri County Council, which protested against the sale of the kauri timber forest in the Waitawheta. Valley has been informed that the Crown ' Lands Department, has been requested to preserve the timber for mining purposes, or to hold over its disposal until the Minister of Mines and Lands can visit the district.
