Many French newspapers assail the Emperor of Germany for indi^ rectly rebuking France in his reply to Kruger. They, however, agree that the Boer cause is lost.
The Czar, equally with the Kaiser, declines an audience to Kruger.
"Debats" (Paris) declares that the 'Kaiser follows the policy of common 6ense with sang froid.
The "Temps" (Paris) says Dr. OLeyds is responsible for the failure of the tour. He forbade advice in the past, and needlessly exposed Kruger to rebuff.
An uninspired German newspaper states that Germany places national interest above sentiment.
Diplomatic circles consider that the Kaiser is responsible for a new era in the relations of Germany with
Britain
BERLIN, December 4,
Kruger, after visiting The Hague, will make another attempt to interview the Emperor.
