SAYLOR'S CREEK DREDGE.

Mr J. H. Harrison to-day had the j following report from the Melbourne j office in connection -with the Sailor Creek Dredging property:—"The directors and chairman are going up to Daylesford to-night to be present at the formal starting of the dredge. I understand that everything is working first-class, or as satisfactorily as can be expected. The trial run of the dredge last week was up to expectations. It was worked for 15 hours." The above letter was written last Tuesday, since which a cable has been received and ■published. From the cable we infer everything is going on satisfactorily. " WAIHI CONSOLIDATED. The bore at the Waihi Consolidated mine is now down 90 feet, having passed the boulder formation and penetrated solid country. It is now intended to use a steel cutter so as to* get up a core which may be carefully examined. WELCOME JACK. The manager reported to-day that a small leader about two inches in thickness has been met with in the cross-cut. Only one dish had been tried when the manager reported. It gave a little gold, and the stone looked well. The manager thinks this may be No. 2 lode. No. I lead when broken down again showed gold in the etone, and gave good prospects in the dish. KURUNUI-CALEDONIAN. During the past month, tributers working in the Kurunui-Caledonian G.M. Co.'s property crushed 30 loads of quartz and 801bs of picked stone for a yield of bullion valued at £420 12/10. IMPERIAL. The development of the mine is proceeding in a satisfactory manner. The drive on No. 2 reef at the intermediate level is opened up for a length of 187 feet westward. The reef maintains its size, and the ore, all of which looks well, is being saved for treatment. During the last few days some very nice looking quartz, showing gold stringers, has been met with crossing the face of the eastern crosscut.
