A TUNNEL CONNECTING EUROPE WITH AFRICA.
Plans for a railroad tunnel under the Straits of Gibraltar' have been worked, out in detail by a French engineer, Jean Berber. He would have it run from a point in Spain near Gibraltar to Tangier, in Morocco, the total length, including approaches, being twenty-five miles, of which twenty miles would lie under the sea. The .cost is estimated at £5,000,000. -
