NEPHEW OF KITCHENER'S FALLS

" A cable.has been received by the parents announcing- that James Herbert Parker, who was a member of the Second New Zealand Contingent, was killed in action in South Africa. Parker was 27 i'ears old, and was a lieutenant in the Hampden Rifles, and went with the contingent as a corporal. He was a nephew of Kitchener, and'recently obtained a transfer to Kitchener's Light Horse, in which ho attained the rank of lieutenant.
