REMOUNTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA.
(By T&legraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a meeting held to-day, the Canterbury War Fund Committee decided on the purchase of 150 horses to bo sent to South Africa as remounts. They are to be placed at the absolute disposal of the Imperial authorities. The New Zealand Government have agreed to make a selection and purchase on behalf of the Fund, and have agreed to provide cost of transport from New Zealand to South Africa.
