SYDNEY, March 19

A boy named O'Conneil died of plague at Redfern. His illness was reported only a couple of hours before death.

The North Sydney morgue has been quarantined in consequence of the inquest on McCaun's body having been held there.

An investigation is proceeding in connection with the reported case of plague at the Prince Alfred Hospital.

SIDNEY, this day

A suspicious case of a woman named .Moore, in Kent-street, is announced. Another suspicious case at Bandwick has been quarantined.

The report of an outbreak of plague at the hospital is baseless.

ADELAIDE, this day

Consternation has been caused hero by Lite ueaii-i of a man named Umbo in the Adelaide Hospital, supposed to be from plague. The hospital doctors state there have been at least five suspected cases of plague in the institution, all of which proved lata!. Members of the profession outside are sceptical, and point out that thero has been no case anywhere else in tiha colony.

The man Gvubb came from Tasmania and *vns staying a day at Melbourne. en' route, lie was admitted to the hospital on the 9th and died last Friday. His body was buried in the usual way. It was not until after a post mortem wns held at the hospital that the doctors came to the conclusion it was a case of plague. At the order of the .render the body was re-buried with the usual precautions on the quarantine ground. The Government has ordered a full inquiry into the case.
