Messrs Arthur M. Myers and 11. T. Gorrie, hon. treasurers of tbe Rough Riders Fund, beg to acknowledge the following subscriptions:—From Whangarei Committee: P. A. Buckland and Sons (proceeds of sale of horse), £20 lis Dd; J. Jack, £1, making a total to date of £425(i\115.
Further subscriptions for the Patriotic Fund are acknowledged :_— Kaukapakapa Sunday School, per W. Dawson, superintendent, money hitherto devoted to purchase of books but diverted this year to Patriotic Fund, £7 IG/6. Patriotic Fund—Subscriptions paid, J-5510 13/10; subscriptions promised, £39 7/. New Zealand Contingent Fund, £320 8/S. Total, £5870 9/6.
The More Men Fund has reached £5574. The actual number of men despatched is 234. Embarkation is expected to be completed by 4.30.
