WELLINGTON, this day
I understand that Colonel Newall expects the Fifth Contingent to embark at Wellington direct for the Cape on the 31st inst. The contingent will consist of five hundred men. composed of 150 from the Wellington district, a hundred each from Auckland, Canterbury and Otago, and fifty from .Nelson.
