ALAN'S ANNOUNCEMENT.
"Wake, daddy wake," a young child cried at sea; And climbed into his father's upper berth. A quaint and curious little traveller he, Accepting vasty deeps for solid earth.
Nor fearing aught, where all was strange and new; Long rollers dashed against the vessel's side. His vibrant treble thrilled the cabin through As once again insistently he cried:
