THE KARANGAHAKE DISTURBANCES.

PAEEOA, this day.
At the Police Court at Paeroa to-day, before Messrs Nathan, Forrest and Hamilton, justices, cases arising out of the recent disturbance at Karangahake were*deait with. John Gulliver pleaded not guilty to a oharg-e of assault. After hearing the evidence the Bench fined accused £2 and costs £4. Arthur McGlynn, John MeGlynn, Loo Moore and Thomas Owen were charged with threatening behaviour. They pleaded not guilty. The case was dismissed. Mr Moss, solicitor, appeared for defendants and Sergeant Breiman represented the police. In the case Police v. William White, a charge of assault, accused jde&ded1 guilty, and was fined T7 and costs. John McGlynn and John McAlister were charged with assault. This case is proceeding-.
