ST. PATRICK'S DAY.

TO-MORROW'S FIXTURES

To-morrow being the day dedicated to the memory of Ireland's patron saint will be observed as a holiday by the banks and the Government offices throughout the colony, and several j holiday attractions are announced. I The Hibernian sports in the Domain will no doubt draw a large attendance, and the Ngaruawahia Native Regatta (particulars of which are given elsewhere) will also attract large crowds of visitors. As a prelude to St. Patrick's Day festivities there will be a grand national concert in the Opera House to- ■■ night. A splendid programme has been arranged. To-morrow morning at 9 a.m. the ! Very Rev. Dean O'Reilly will cele-J brate High Mass at St. Patrick's I Cathedral. The members of the' [Hibernian Society and the children ■of the parish will also attend. Masses will also be celebrated at St. ; Benedict's, Sacred Heart (i/onsonby :.Koad), and St. John's (Parnell). The children from the different parishes will march to Wyndham-street, thence the whole headed by a band and members of the 11.A.C.8. Society will proceed up Ilobson-street, Welleslcystreet, Symonds-street, and Grafton Road to the Domain, where the Hibernian sports and the children's festival takes place. There will be exhibitions by boys and girls and competitive Irish jigs and reels. Post entres will be received for all events. The Ohinernuri Jockey Club will hold races at Paeroa to-morrow.
