Tairna Broken Hill shares firmed in price to-day, being- sold on the Exchange at !j/3, at which figure more could have been placed, bat holders •asked 3/9. Komata Keel's changed hands at 1/10, and Talismans at 12/. Transactions also took place in Grace Darlings at sd, and there were inquiries for Mara to to share!? at lid, and Kuranui-Caledonians at 61. -May Queens were a. shade firmer, being wanted at 2/5. In standard lines Auckland Gas. new issue, sold at £10 5/. Old issue gas were in demand at £13 5/, and South British could have been placed at 56/, but holders asked higher rates. New Zealand Insurance shares were inquired lor at GO/, and Nationals at 16/6.
