COROMANDEL BATTERY.
Tenders have been called for the erection of the Coromandel School of Mines' battery. The estimated cost is £1050 for five head and a single stamper, together with 4 berdans, to be driven by an oil engine. The offer of Government assistance and the grant from the Coromandel County Council are dependent upon the voluntary support from residents and others. Alreadjr £150 has been raised at Ciromandel and £23 premised.
