A MARRIED WOMAN KILLED.

About seven o'clock on Saturday, Feb. 24, a collision between a hansom cab and express took place at Khyber Pass Road, ending- in Mrs Lily Elizabeth Doolan being- hurled oxit of the express on to her head on. the metal Koad. She sustained such severe injuries that she died in the Hospital early next morning.

The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Lily Elizabeth Doolan, who was killed as the result of a trap accident in Khyber Pass on February 24th, was concluded on March 3rd, before Dr. McArthur, coroner. Sergeant "Walker represented the police. Mr T. Cotter appeared on behalf of the driver of the cab, Edward Garrity, and Mr C. J. Parr on behalf of the husband and relatives of the deceased.

The jury then retired and after a few minutes' deliberation returned the verdict that Lily Elizabeth Doolan di^d accidentally^ and by misfortune, as the result of a collision between the trap in which sho was driving and the above-mentioned hansom cab, and added as a rider that Edward Garrity the driver of the cab be severely censured for leaving his cab unattended.
