Boatrd, amd .comprising*' 5054 acres, will shortly be open for sale on t/he "optional'system, namely,' purchase'for cash or lease in perpetuity. Tine block is subdivided into nine sections, the areas rangingl from 600 to 1440 acres. The property is situated fire miles from the borough-of Cambridge; Waifcafo, close ..to F.encoiirt. . "''"' .. . -; One/of the most important land.sales in the North Island will take place on, the 18th April. The block comprises 40,000 acres, and is situated in Kawhia harbour. Seventeen thousand acresjof this area are within six.miles of Kawhia harbour, which forms-an excellentmeans of , egress and infjress of products. .The remainder of .the block• is jt'4 miles from Te Kuiti. The sale of this land, which is within iwhat is known 'as "the KSrig Country," marks an important departure in opening up for settlement the very considerable "areas* of native.land which the Government have acquired from time to time';ln that, district. Probably Kawhia harbour will soon develop into an important centre of trade.
