Colonel Hannuy's brigade of colonials, W-hile following General KellyKenny's earlier movements in the vicinity of the Modder, engaged 500 Boers, the fighting lasting throughout Sunday last. ■ The enemy, retired at nightfall. Abusing the white flag, they captured a water party of ten men. The Highland Brigade, under Major. General Hector Macdonald, has reinforced General Kelly-Kenny's Guards Brigade, and is encamped in the. position evacuated by Commandant Cronje at Magersfontein.
