The first meeting of the above took dace, on Saturday last On the .new •aeecourse. Tho weather was splendid.- There was a good attendance of
the public, and the .meeting was very successful. The Judge (Mr S. Draffin), Starter (Mr R. -1. Cotter), Secretary (ilr W. S. Morrin), and other officials worked hard to ensure the success of the meeting. The following are the results. Maiden Plate. 1 mile: Frear, 1; Lightning, 2. Hurdles, V, miles: La Belle, 11.7, 1; Stella. 0.7, 2. Handicap Trot, 2 miles: Dinah, 45 seconds, 1. Waitekauri Cup, l.j miles: Arena, 9.9, 1; Ladas ,8.9, 2. Members Welter, 1 mile: Ada, .10.3, 1; Lookout, 10.10, 2. Pony Race, six furlongs: Mv Lord, 9.4, 1; Frear, 5.7, 2. "Flying Handicap, six furlongs: Pickpocket, 9.0. 1: Arena, 10.0, 2.
