DR. HOSKING'S CANDIDATURE.
At the Wesleyan Synod last night the following resolution, moved by Mr Thomas Allen, and seconded by Mr G. A. Buttle, was carried: "That this Synod expresses its deep regret on hearing that the Hamilton and Te Awa_nutu Circuit quarterly meeting has committed itself to the advocacy of the political candidature of its superintendent, minister, the same being a violation of 'the constitution and established usage of the Church."
