".Girofle Girofla" was revived lastevening by Pollard's Opera Company, and drew a very fair attendance. The opera was effectively staged, and encores were numerous. Miss' May Beatty was. seen to advantage in the dual role : of. Girofle and Girofla, twin daughters of. Don Bolero. Her singing and acting were both v^ry praiseworthy. As -Marasquin,- ithe betrothed of Girofle, Mr C. Carter did good work,, and Mr Ernest Fitts was well placed as Mourzouk,, the masterful Moorish chief betrothed to Girofle. -Air W. Percy as the timid Don Bolero wa.s responsible for the comic element; he made a success of the part, keeping the audience constantly amused. Miss D. Davis was a charming Pedro, and. Miss M. Metcalfe acted with spirit as Bolero's wife Aurora. The numerous duets and solos were well rendered; and the choruses for the most part effective. "Girofle, Girofla" will be repeated to-night and to-morrow evening. On Saturday afternoon a maWnee performance of ' ..he Belle of New York" will be given, affording playgoers a final opportunity of seeing this most popuiifrrp.itolfsiea.' comedies. "In To\yn" will be prodnced on Sat.ur-. day "and Monday :_tbe : ' company leaving for" fhe South "by- the Westralia on Tuesday.
