£933' FROM 22G TONS
During the past month the total quantity of ore crushed by the May Queen of Hauraki Company was • 220 tons, which yielded 3(310z5. sdwts. of gold, valued at £.933 14/9, an average value per ton of £4 2/7. The ore from the Cardigan section proved to be worth ou the, average £8 4/4 per ton, S9 tons having yielded bullion worth £731 8/10. The other 137 tons came from the drives east and west OVi the No. 4 lode, No. 7 level, Aray Queen section, and as it was mostly mullock, only yielded £202 5/11.
Tributers in the May Queen Company crushed 37A tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £294 0/8.
