CATTLE.
The display of cattle was a first-rate one. All classes were well represented, and in Channel Island cattle and Shorthorns there were especially good displays. The total entries of cattle this year totalled 200, as against 147 at last year's show —a, gratifying increase. A feature of this department of the show was the number of Waikato cattle, which had been exhibited at the recent Waikato Agricultural Show at Hamilton. lit the fat classes the representatives were of excellent quality. Some splendid animals were shown, and. in all the classes there was a display which did credit to the cattle raisers of the district.
