COEOMANDEL, Wednesday,
The election of councillors for the Coromandel County took place to-day. The following is the result of the Hauratanga Hiding, for which four councillors are required:—A. E. 11. Swindley, 2GO; P. Brodie, 252; E. McEwan, 182; S. James, 165; Arch. Kelso, 162; Max D. King, 146; C. W. Hovell, 115; C. M. McFarlane, 58; C. M. Mc-Cormick,-58; F. Jeune, ~8. Gumtown return not yet to hand. Mercury Bay Biding (three councillors required).—G. W. Home, 82; J. E. S. Wilson, 82; N. Gow, 48; C. O'Brien, 45; A. Eackstraw, 34. Whenuakite return not yet to hand.
