N.Z. CROWN.
The new development in the N.Z. Crown mine at the No. 2 level below the Waitawheta Creek has. for the last 100 ft produced much richer ore. Nice golden stone is frequently met with, and it is considered highly probable 'Hie Co. ha.s a long reach of payable stone southwards. At present the reef at this point, is three feet wide, but it sometimes widens out to four feet. A winze is being sunk on the lode below No. 2 level to a depth of about 200ft.,and then open out for a new level.
